amulet...

have you watched 'long khong' recently? i haven't. i roughly know what the story is about. black magic, process of sending so-called 'soul' to harm or killing someone but at the end, your deal is to die. that is what 'long khong' about if i'm not mistaken. well, i'm not teach black magic here, perhaps if you know how, u may teach me... hehe... the first perception when people talking about thailand will be 'evil' and 'black magic'. haha... however, there are another perception too... thai monk. thai monk is believed to be a cure for those black magic. they also do carve amulet to become protection for those who needed. this amulet is carved inside their temple and chanted by them to have spell seal inside the amulet. how true and how accurate is this amulet functioning? try it and you will get the answer of course.

the face and the shape of the amulet is the portrait of the monk. basically pra means amulet followed by the name of the monk. sometimes it's hard to know wether the amulet is real or fake... the best thing is, normally real amulet is fade... 1st and 2nd pic are the best example... but doesn't mean all the rest are fake... only experience people could tell you the answer. believe it or not, the total of all the amulet above are more than RM10K. the elder the amulet, the more expensive it will be. so some people will keep amulet as an investment for the future, some even would bring for competition. amulet competition is always held in thailand.
don't think too much what is this 'thing'. it's not sex toys. believe it or not, for those who are doin business, they will put this thing in their shop in order to provide a friendly feeling to the customer. anyway, the first time i see this, i have the same thinking, is this to invite sex partner? haha... now it clear my doubt...
don't know much details about this thing. Phra-Kitt(Long-Pok Khong), Watt Wang Sapharut. look at the details of each photo. it is curved only on one black wood. the top right pic is picture of a girl closing her face. p/s: long-pok means monk in thai language. :>
weird why there is one hindu statue on the right picture? me too. thailand ppl do actually pray to hindu statue too. weird but true
